Caroline has lived in Peckham since 2012. She currently works part time for an NHS Trust as Head of Financial Accounts and is keen to use her skills to help the local community. She is also a steering group member on the development of the Peckham Town Centre car-park (Peckham Levels).

“I really want children to go to a school that they feel comfortable in and look forward to attending. It is in this environment children will thrive and reach their potential. It is really important for the local community and parents to support our schools achieve this. Schools face tough financial decisions in the current climate and I want to be able to use my background in Finance to help make those decisions as educated as possible.”

Matt is the Business Development Manager at Kings College London Students Union who support over 27,000 student studying for their degrees at Kings’.

Matt has recently moved to Crystal Palace after spending 18 years living in Nunhead and Ladywell. In his spare time he likes to collect Vinyl and dream about his yearly snowboarding holiday.

“I want all the pupils at Hollydale to enjoy themselves and to discover all the opportunities available to them. After living in the area for so long I have a vested interest in the local community, I want to help Hollydale school become the best it can be.”

She is a qualified accountant working for PwC as a financial consultant and is looking forward to using her financial skills to help Hollydale continue its good progress. In her spare time Joy enjoys hiking and learning new skills; currently getting to grips with a sewing machine.

Dan grew up in New Cross and for the past four years has lived in both Lewisham and Southwark. He works for a public affairs agency based in Southwark and is experienced working in strategic communications and media relations.

“Growing up nearby I attended schools in the local area and they provided a great sense of community and helped me to enjoy education. Hollydale does the same for children and that’s something I’m proud to be a part of and want to help continue.”

Jess has lived in the Peckham area for 15 years. Her son started at Hollydale in 2015, and her daughter will be starting in 2017. Jess works as an interior designer in the retail sector.

“I want Hollydale to be a school where children feel happy and enjoy learning. As a small school, Hollydale has a great community atmosphere. I want to help Hollydale to keep improving so that it offers children the best possible start to their education.”

“As a Behaviour Specialist in Southwark since 2000, I have worked in most primary and secondary schools within the borough with some of the most vulnerable children and young people. Hollydale school was one of the first schools that I was allocated, and I have been here since then!

I am passionate about the well-being of children and young people, wanting them to achieve and reach their personal best. I have always believed that children are the most resilient of us all and deserve to be championed by caring adults. They have a right to be given the best education, in a warm, safe, happy, inspirational and captivating learning environment that is serviced by the best educators. At this moment in time, Hollydale School is on its way to becoming just that type of learning environment, and I am honored to be a governor and be part of the journey to get there.”

Roisin has previously worked as a teacher and has been involved in the delivery of programmes to improve opportunities and outcomes for children.

“I am excited to be part of the Hollydale community and to have the chance to support the school to lay the best possible foundations for the future of local children.”

Minaz has lived in Peckham since 2012. He wants to use the skills and networks he has developed in the Civil Service to help Hollydale maximise its resources and improve its teaching function.
